11. How soon after laying turf can I apply Rolawn Lawn Food?
If GroRight Lawn Establishment Fertiliser was applied before laying turf then you should wait 2 to 4 months before applying a lawn food, dependent on the weather, growing conditions and appearance of the lawn.
If GroRight was not applied prior to laying, Rolawn Lawn Food can be applied once the roots have established to a reasonable depth ie. 75mm (3") - 100mm (4"). This will depend on growing conditions and the time of year. In spring it may be only 2 or 3 weeks, at other times of the year 6 to 8 weeks. Care should be taken if applying lawn food within 6 weeks of laying turf as correct root development is essential for a healthy lawn. Excessive fertiliser applied to the lawn surface can encourage roots to remain near the surface and not grow down to the correct depth.
