Our delivery service

Rolawn has a nationwide distribution network that ensures convenient all year availability of quality products that provide exceptional value for money.

Delivery is available to UK mainland addresses only.

There are different means of delivery according to the products ordered and geographic location. Please see below for full details.

Delivery charges

Standard delivery is inclusive on orders of £50 or more. For orders under £50 a £4.99 delivery supplement charge will be added.

For next day delivery a £25 delivery supplement charge will be added (bulk bag orders only).

For AM or PM delivery a £10 delivery supplement charge will be added and for Saturday AM delivery a £40 delivery supplement charge will be added (turf and bulk bag orders only).

Delivery of turf, topsoil, compost, soil improver, bark & topdressing

For deliveries of turf, topsoil, compost, soil improver, bark and topdressing you will be asked to select your required delivery date. You will also have the option to select an AM/PM or Saturday AM delivery for an additional charge.

When selecting your delivery date, please remember that turf must be rolled out immediately in Spring/Summer and within 24 hours of delivery in the Autumn/Winter.

Orders placed before 10am, Monday to Friday, can be delivered the following day. For orders placed after 10am on Friday the earliest day for delivery is Tuesday.

Please note turf can be delivered Tuesday to Friday, or Saturday AM for an additional charge.

Deliveries will be made between 7am and 6pm, Monday to Friday (excluding Bank Holidays) and Saturday, 7am to 1pm. If your delivery has not arrived by 3pm, please call us on 0845 604 6060 if you require an estimated time of arrival.

AM and Saturday AM deliveries will usually be made between 7am and 1pm and PM deliveries between 1pm and 6pm.

Next day delivery, AM/PM & SAT AM delivery are not available in the following postcode areas:

PA20+, PH6-11, PH15+, IV & KW.

It is preferable that you are available at the delivery address to accept the delivery; therefore it is important that you ensure that you are satisfied with the delivery date selected. You must also provide safe access to the point of unloading.

Rolawn is able to deliver turf, topsoil, compost, soil improver, bark or topdressing if you are not present, but in these circumstances we can accept no liability for any deterioration in or theft of any of the items delivered. Neither can we accept responsibility for the consequences of the positioning of the pallets or bulk bags by the delivery driver.

Our bulk bags and pallets are 'non-returnable'.

Delivery to UK mainland excluding the area within the M25 London Orbital Motorway

You must ensure that the delivery vehicle has safe access to the point of unloading.

Delivery vehicles are generally 7.9 metres (26') long, 2.5 metres (8' 2") wide, 3.6 metres (12') high or approximately the same size as a dustbin lorry.

Please allow 3 metres (10') clearance to the rear of the vehicle for operation of the tail lift.

Deliveries of turf and bulk bags of topsoil, compost, soil improver, bark or topdressing are made on pallets. The pallets are unloaded using a hydraulic platform or tail lift which lowers the pallet to ground level. The driver then uses a small manual pallet truck to manually pull the pallet to the nearest hard-standing, flat surface to your property. We undertake to place the goods as close to your property as is deemed safe by the driver.

Please note that manual pallet trucks can only operate on tarmac, concrete and paved areas which must be level and clear of obstructions. Manual pallet trucks cannot operate on gravel, earth, grass or any other type of non-solid surface.

Delivery within the M25 London Orbital Motorway

You must ensure that the delivery vehicle has safe access to the point of unloading.

Delivery vehicles are generally 9.2 metres (30') long, 2.5 metres (8' 2") wide, 3.6 metres (12') high or approximately the same size as a large dustbin lorry.

Please allow 2 metres (6') clearance to each side of the vehicle for operation of the hydraulic crane.

Please also check for overhead obstructions such as power and phone cables or tree branches in the offloading location.

Deliveries of turf and bulk bags of topsoil, compost, soil improver, bark or topdressing are made on pallets. The pallets are unloaded using a vehicle mounted hydraulic crane which lowers the pallet to ground level. We undertake to place the goods as close to the position required within the working reach of the crane as is deemed safe by the driver.

Please note that vehicle mounted hydraulic cranes cannot operate in close proximity to overhead power cables, telephone cables, tree branches and other overhead obstructions. Also the cranes cannot be used to lift pallets over parked vehicles.

Delivery of lawn fertiliser and lawn seed

Lawn fertiliser and lawn seed will be despatched upon receipt of your order and delivered via courier separately to other products. Goods must be signed for on delivery.

Delivery will normally take place within 2 to 4 working days from receipt of order. Once your order has been despatched we will email you a tracking number to enable you to progress delivery of your order.

Delivery of lawn pest control products

Delivery of Leatherjacket Killer, Chafer Grub Killer and Ant Repel will be despatched via 1st class post. Orders are despatched Monday to Thursday to avoid live product being held up in the postal system over the weekend.

Mole Repel will be delivered via courier separately to other products.

Delivery will normally take place within 5 working days from receipt of order.
